My Cold Brew Recipe☕️
That's way better than the stuff from the store

☕️Although coffee can sometimes get a bad rap, modern research provides strong evidence that coffee has a variety of health benefits. Coffee is rich in antioxidants and it’s anti-inflammatory properties have been show to reduce inflammation in the brain. Research also shows that coffee can reduce the risk of certain cancers, heart disease, type 2 diabetes, Parkinson’s, and possibly reduce the risk of Alzheimer’s. We know that some short term benefits include increased alertness and improved memory. My personal favorite part of drinking coffee is the ritual. It starts my day on a positive note and gives me something to look forward to every morning. I love coffee in all forms~ hot, cold, drip, espresso, cold brew, etc. It is true that too much coffee can cause anxiety, heartburn, and fatigue. But around 400mg of caffeine a day, or about 3 cups of coffee, is generally safe for most people. You know yourself best though and if one cup makes you feel jittery, it could be best to stick to decaf or matcha!
This is my cold brew recipe that I make all the time that is seriously so much better than the stuff at the store.
* 1 cup ground organic coffee
* 3 cups of filtered water
* Basically, a 1:3 ratio. Adjust if you want to make a larger or smaller batch.
Mix coffee and water and let soak for 14 to 24 hours. I like my coffee pretty strong but you can use a 1:4 coffee ratio and soak for 12 hours if you want it to be less robust. Strain the coffee through cold brew bag, cheese cloth, or I just use an old cotton t-shirt. I have also used a French press before too and that works great. If you're like me, not only will you save some money by making your own cold brew, but you also might love the process of making delicious coffee at home!
